Lovin' Spoonfuls is a 2012 masschallenge winner!
On October 23, the MassChallenge Awards Ceremony was held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport District. As the culmination of MassChallenge’s four-month long startup accelerator and global competition, the event included speeches from Governor Deval Patrick and Gerald Chertavian of Year Up, one-minute pitches from the 26 finalist teams, and the announcement of $1.1 million in cash awards. Lovin’ Spoonfuls was honored to be chosen as one of the 26 finalists earlier in October and the awards ceremony brought even more exciting news. Not only was Lovin’ Spoonfuls awarded a $50,000 grant from MassChallenge, but we were also thrilled to receive a $30,000 grant from the John W. Henry Family Foundation, one of the evening’s sidecar prizes for social impact. We are so grateful to have been included in the MassChallenge program, surrounded by so many inspiring and innovative teams. Thanks to MassChallenge, the John W. Henry Family Foundation and our entire community of supporters- we can’t wait to put this money to good use and feed even more Bostonians!
