1. Be a part of Tailgate history. This will be our biggest event yet!
Thanks to our new venue – the beautiful SoWa Power Station – this year’s Tailgate will be the biggest ever. With more square footage, we were able to invite more restaurants and bars to participate and host fun interactive experiences so you can learn more about our food rescue and hunger relief work. That also means more tickets are available, so more of you can get in on the fun!

From Dan’s Duck Grilled Cheeses by The Tack Room to Okonomiyake-Style Cheddar Scallion Dumplings by Mei Mei, your taste buds are sure to leave Tailgate happy. In total, we have over 25 restaurants, restaurant groups, and bars that will be offering tailgate-inspired bites and beverages. Check out the full lineup here.
Fun fact: 15 of the Tailgate restaurant stations will be serving vegetarian fare! Egyptian Lentil Nachos by Sarma, anyone?
3. Connect with our work
“Why is there food available to be rescued? Where does Spoonfuls distribute the food it recovers? What impact does that have on people and the environment?”
Tailgate is a great opportunity to learn more about our food rescue and hunger relief work! We’ll have interactive experiences throughout the space to help you better understand what we do and how we do it. Plus, we’ll have some of our biggest champions in the room, like members of our team and volunteers and staff from some of the amazing community organizations we partner with to distribute the food we rescue. Strike up a conversation to learn about their experiences.
Plus, did we mention we’re making a big announcement at this year’s Tailgate? Spoiler alert: Attendees will be the first to hear the latest about our rebrand!
4. Scoop up amazing auction items and experiences
Pick your lucky number to be entered to win a Tailgate-themed raffle package. Cast a bid in our silent auction for a chance to win prizes like a suite at a Red Sox game with a visit from Wally or a 10-person omasake experience from Chef Colin Lynch in your home. And so much more!
5. Support the rescue of fresh, healthy food for our neighbors across Massachusetts.
Your Tailgate ticket isn’t just a pass to the tastiest party in town. You’ll be helping us raise critical funds to support our ongoing food recovery and hunger relief efforts. Dollars raised at Tailgate will go to work the very next day when our Food Recovery Team hits the road to pick up nutritious food and distribute it to our nonprofit partners.
