Boston Bacon and Beer Festival

Friends of Lovin’ Spoonfuls Will Gilson and Aaron Cohen (founders of EAT) hosted the 2011 Boston Bacon and Beer Festival on April 30. Chefs included Matt Jennings of La’Laterie in Providence, Jamie Bissonnette of Toro & Coppa, Jim Solomon of The Fireplace and TONS of Boston’s beloved chefs created bacon-based dishes to pair with some of the best beers from around New England. Our friends from Peak Organic Beer sponsored the event as well!  The beer and bacon were not the only benefits for participating–the event raised just under $17,000 for Lovin’ Spoonfuls, Community Servings, and Share Our Strength. Beer and bacon supporting hunger relief—we’re lovin’ that! Thanks to Will, Aaron, and all the chefs who took part!
