Headshot of Spoonfuls' staff member Rich Engram-Bright
How did you arrive at Lovin’ Spoonfuls?

I found Spoonfuls after searching for a new career path that would have a meaningful impact on not just myself, but the people around me.

Tell us about your background! How did you become interested in food rescue?

As a child, I knew what it was like to wonder where my next meal was going to come from. This company has allowed me to take that feeling away from many families in my hometown of Springfield.

What passions do you bring to the job?

I’m passionate about being involved in my community on the ground level.

Do your friends/family consider you a good cook? Any signature recipes?

My wife and children love my chili recipe. There are never any leftovers when I make it.

What would we find in your fridge now?

Redbull and iced coffee, along with an assortment of fruit.

What’s your favorite childhood food memory?

Eating cereal while watching Saturday morning cartoons.

Who are your heroes/inspirations?

That would be my dad. From a young age, he taught me to never give up no matter the obstacle in front of you. The tougher the challenge, the stronger you become when you overcome it.
