Boston Marathon®

Team Spoonfuls’ runners make strides in support of our mission to deliver food with purpose. Spoonfuls has been fortunate to have had runners fundraising through the historic Boston Marathon since 2016. In the years since, Spoonfuls’ runners have collectively raised over $270,000 towards our food recovery work.

The 2024 race

Our biggest year yet! Team Spoonfuls was proud to be part of the Bank of America Boston Marathon® Official Charity Program, with five entries for the 2024 race. Our fantastic team (Benjamin Feibus, Kelly Ferriter, Katelyn Harrop, Ashley Hickey, and Elizabeth Popp) completed the 26.2-mile journey on April 15 and collectively raised nearly $56,000 for Spoonfuls. That enabled the recovery of 56,000 pounds of fresh food that would have otherwise gone to waste.

“If I was going to run the most miles I’ve ever run and raise the most money I’ve ever raised, I wanted to do it for something I knew I was passionate about and a mission I could easily get behind. Spoonfuls is that mission.”
