Sean Ahern came to Spoonfuls in 2017. As Senior Director of Operations, he led the organization’s Food Recovery Team through strategic expansion to three new regions, nearly doubling Spoonfuls’ operational capacity. With a keen eye on logistics, food safety, and community cohesion, he oversees the distribution of 5 million pounds of recovered food to nearly 200 nonprofits across Massachusetts each year. Throughout his career, Sean has demonstrated a passion for food and its power to bring people together. Prior to Spoonfuls, Sean worked in hospitality, including as Manager of Boston’s AAA five diamond rated L’Espalier in Boston and General Manager of Russell House Tavern in Cambridge.
