Joni Kusminsky’s career in Massachusetts’ nonprofit sector spans two decades and a range of mission-focused organizations centered on connecting people to resources and opportunities. She joined the team at Spoonfuls in 2020 and, since that time, has been at the forefront of telling the organization’s story and raising awareness about the impact of wasted food on people and the planet. Joni has been behind some of the key projects that set the stage for Spoonfuls’ strategic growth, including the build-out of Spoonfuls’ Communications & Public Affairs vertical and its 2023 rebrand. Joni represents Spoonfuls on the MetroWest Food Collaborative’s Healthy Food Access Working Group and the MA Plan to End Hunger Strategy Group. Immediately prior to her time at Spoonfuls, she served as the Director of Communications & Development at Worcester County Food Bank, where she deepened her connections with people in her own community who share her interest in food justice.
