More on Spoonfuls’ food recovery program

Our typical donors include grocery stores, farms, wholesalers, and other food businesses. We visit some of our partners five days a week. Others contact us as needed when they have bulk, excess product.

We do not accept food donations from individuals.

We recover produce, meat, dairy, prepared foods, and more, that meet food safety standards. We can accept some items past their code dates.

We distribute the food we recover to community programs serving people facing food insecurity, including food pantries, meal programs, shelters, recovery centers, after-school programs, and more. Our services are provided at no cost to recipient organizations.
