After our first-ever Battle of the Bites sold out in August 2025, we knew these nights of flavor and friendly fire were here to stay. At Battle of the Bites, two local chefs flex their culinary chops as they prepare a dish live and let attendees determine whose bite reigns supreme. Come savor the flavors, cheer amongst fellow foodies, and cast your vote to help determine who is crowned our next battle winner. No matter who takes first place, you can expect to feel the hype, all while supporting Spoonfuls’ mission to keep good food from going to waste and support our neighbors facing food insecurity.
At our last battle in June 2026, Chef Lambert Givens took on Chef Alex Sáenz in an epic Fried Check Face-Off! Together, we raised over $14,000 in support of our mission to deliver food with purpose. That’s enough to create more than 11,000 meals for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Spoiler: Chef Lambert clinched the win with his fried chicken and waffles!
