Just The Facts: With Tyler Crawford
Two years ago, Tyler Crawford joined the Lovin’ Spoonfuls team as a Food Rescue Coordinator when we launched our Hampden County route. In those two years, he’s helped us rescue almost 1 million pounds of food in Western Massachusetts!
Says Operations Director, Sean Ahern, “From his first day at Lovin’ Spoonfuls, Tyler ingratiated himself to the team with his easy-going personality and strong work ethic. Now working at LS for two years, Tyler has taken on advocacy and community engagement in Hampden county. Tyler grew up in the communities that he now serves each week and takes a tremendous amount of pride in his work, always making deliveries with a smile!”
In his own words, here are three other things you should know about Tyler:
1) “My favorite thing to cook is pastelón (plantain lasagna). I was first introduced to the dish by my friend’s mother. Usually, I keep cooking simple and quick. I don’t use a mandolin for anything else, so to actually take the time to make this meal means I like the process.”
2) “I love anything with marinara sauce, like chicken parmesan and meatball subs.”
3) “I’m a big soccer fan. My favorite player is Harry Kane, who is currently competing in the Euro Cup.”
4) “I enjoy chess, but watch other people play more than I partake in it myself”
