Erin Ash

Senior Director, Programs

Motivated by the urgent need to address wasted food and hunger, Erin Ash joined the Spoonfuls team in 2025, bringing with her a background in environmental justice and public health. She began her nonprofit career in Addiction Medicine at Boston Medical Center, later earning a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University. Before transitioning to nonprofit leadership, Erin developed deep operational experience at Synapse Energy Economics, a mission-driven consulting company, where she scaled up systems to support the growing organization. Most recently, Erin focused on accessible climate solutions and clean energy while serving as the Interim Executive Director at Climable. In addition to her professional roles, Erin brings hands-on experience as a former Culinary Instructor with Cooking Matters Massachusetts, and she currently serves as a Board Member at Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) Boston. Erin holds an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University and is passionate about the intersection of food access, environmental justice, and waste reduction.
